Marine Combat
Who receives better combat training marine riflemen or recon marines?
Not marsoc or force recon just basic recon marines. I know recon does recon and does not engage in combat as much but if they do are they more capable in combat than a riflemen?
Most Recon Marines are pulled from the infantry and are in better physical shape then most 0311's or basic riflemen but they're both extremely effective in combat and train hard.

Vs. Navy. Marine Aviation
The main difference is in the life of "style" of a Marine and a sailor. All Marines considered combat riflemen first, and any work they have seconds. Generally, Marines have to complete a superior physical condition and level of discipline any of the other services.
The flight training program is very similar. In fact, the Marine and Navy pilots go through the same training program flight (mostly).
Active duty commitment is real. It costs almost a million dollars to train a military pilot or navigator, and the military services want to make sure they get value for their money (and not just training someone for the job of airline pilot).
The active engagement of service stations (ADSC) for Navy pilots and the Marine Corps is 8 years (after graduation from flight training). The ADSC for Navy and Infantry Marine nfos (after training) is 6 years (after completion of training and designation as NFO).
The ADSC for pilots Air Force is 10 years, after completion of flight training, and 8 years for navigators (following training).
The Navy and the Marine Corps does not have a "Palace Chase" program, and - just for information, the Air Force rarely (if ever) allows pilots and navigators, who are in their first obligation of active duty to participate in the "Palace Chase".
As I said, training flight is expensive, and the services they want to get your money's worth. I spent several years as a sergeant first of several squadrons of Air Force flight, and never (or once, not once) saw a pilot or navigator on their initial active service obligation approved destination for a "Palace Chase" or "separation Palace Front "in active service. Not once. Not even close (unless they were disqualified from flying for reasons such as doctors).
In an F-18 (aircraft Navy or any other), the pilot called "Navy Pilot". In a two-seat aircraft, the other officer (who navigates and operates the weapon systems) is called the "NFO" (Naval Flight Officer). As a group, both are referred to as "crews".
Any military member on board the aircraft ( any type) that is flying in the airplane with a work to do on board the aircraft, as part of the crew of an aircraft is a "member of the crew." That means that in two seat aircraft like the F/A-18, both the pilot and the NFO is known as "crews".
In other types of aircraft, there would more than two crew members. For example, the EC3 "Hawkeye" carries a crew of five. All of them (pilot, copilot, NFO, enlisted technicians) are "crew" on the aircraft.
With the Marine Corps when you join they will give you a chose of 3 MOS to choose from, but you can only choose one of the three no matter if you do not like any of them. I am afraid that is how the Marine Corps enlisted employment options. If it can be always there website or call someone from that group and ask questions.
But just not going to be a pilot Corps Marina unless (1) get a college degree (2) get commissioned (OCS or PLC), and (3) pass the flight aptitude tests and flight physics. About one candidate of in five does so through the selection process.
