The castle itself was built at the end of the 14th century and underwent significant alteration in the late 19th century. It was designed by Robert and James Adam in 1771-5 and is a perfectly symmetrical building that hides a courtyard within its walls. Wedderburn Castle can be found in the beautiful area of Berwickshire, and hosts immaculate lawns which would be perfect for any wedding. One of the most glamorous aspects of the building has to be the twin staircase which meets visitors upon arrival, no one could ask for a more dramatic entrance than that. The ballroom is lit beautifully by two crystal chandeliers giving the perfect ambience for any wedding reception.
