A leading safety group that studies vehicle safeness said the move by Ford Motor Corp. to redesigned one their best-selling collection of mortality rate, the F-150 has reduced between the owners of the said truck.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has found in a study based on deaths among years 2002 to 2005 that the design changes, especially in sport utility vehicles can actually help reduce deaths from road accidents. Also could discover that the design changes have contributed to nearly 30 percent drop in overall mortality rates when compared to the 1990s.
According to official statistics, every year more than 40,000 people killed in U.S. traffic accidents due. But things are improving, especially because most of the classes of vehicles that have obtained in recent years both in number of questionable and rollover crash tests are ongoing efforts to improve the overall security design of their vehicles.

Ford also added that the Insurance Institute does not consider factors such as safety belt use, alcohol consumption and driving experience in its survey, which the manufacturer considers to be important factors to consider when auto deaths is cited by federal safety officials.
Surveys conducted by the security group in crash tests and mortality rates are backed by large insurance companies as their way of putting pressure on automakers to improve the safeness of their vehicles.
