Why do Army Infantry soldiers wear distinguishing marks while USMC Infantry marines do not?
I heard Infantry soldiers in the Army wear a blue cord around their right shoulder to signify that they are in the Infantry MOS's, but Infantry marines in the USMC have no distinguishing mark to set them apart from all the other pogue REMF types. Why?

If I hear one more person say that all Marines are Infantry I'm going to freakin' scream. Every Marine is a Rifleman, not every Marine is a Grunt. That means you can shoot, it does not mean you're a specialized infantry Marine. If you're looking an at infantry squad, you're looking at an infantry squad. Everyone there will be an 03 something, whether it be 0311, 0331, 0341, 0351, 0352, etc. If you're an 0121 you're not infantry. Stop trying to claim the billet, and switch MOS's if you want but don't fake the funk.
P.S. If you went to MCT you're not Infantry.
