is savannah just south geography wise?
i been living in savannah georgia for 4 years and i don't see anything southern about savannah. now when i lived in rural tennessee that was more southern then savannah georgia. i personally think savannah is full of transplants and its southern roots have been pulled up by billy yank and ole johnny reb has left along time ago. but can i get another opinion form a real southerner thank you.
Savannah is considered a southern town. But I swear people in my state (NC) are much more southern than the people that live there. Although in downtown Savannah, you're getting the people from the North that came down there because the town obviously has southern charm, decor wise. And that the cost of living is much less than up in the north. If you go into the rural areas or farther out such as Tybee Island, there are more southerners there. The ones who do crawfish broils, and cook real good red beans and rice.
