When you are studying at college and university as a student you want to be the leader in your class and gain a great mark at the end of your course. One way you are allowed to do this is by writing and submitting essays to your lecturers. You will also need to (depending on your course) complete exams, but, if you are like me then chances are an exam isn’t the best use of your talent. I can always write an impressive and substantiated argument for an essay, but it seems that when I can’t just ‘nip off for a brew’ or go to the gym half way through my exam I become frustrated and bored. Hence I worked my hardest through writing impressive essays so that these could bolter my final grade, no matter what the topic area was on my course.
Below I have provided you with 5 easy steps that will help you write more impressive essays that you can submit with pride and know that they are going to be scored well.
Step 1 – Research, research, research
If you don't know what your subject is about, the paradigm that has been discussed in class, or what changes have evolved in a culture setting over the past few years, then you will be on the road to failure fast, when writing an essay. Essays and papers in academia are more focussed on what research you have dine and with good reason. Reading a couple of sources and then going about trying to argue a case for digital LCD’s in todays market place would be pretty poor if you’d only research two sources that were written a few years ago and done no analysis of the current markets needs. Research needs to be uptodate.
Step 2 – Analyze the arguments put forward
Sometimes, people tend to quickly read a section or chapter of an author’s work and quickly spring into a thought process and start writing hundreds of words on an argument that they didn’t fully read or understand and have thus wasted some pain staking time on writing for their essay. Look for arguments, strengths and weakness in a topic. It could be that previous research has been undertaken that was very weak and the outcomes were flawed. If another author has picked up on this, then you should centre around its emphasis.
Step 3 – Brainstorm
In order to write effectively you will need to have the ideas of where you want to go and what different parts are associated with what areas. Making a mind map and brainstorming ideas will allow you to concentrate of a few different things in one area and not just write a little bit about everything. Doing this will enable you to work towards a set goal and establish a cohesive argument for the reader.
Step 4 – Write, write, write
Now it’s time to start writing your essay and actually get something down on paper. You will be clear in your mind from the previous steps about what venue or angle you will be going down. When you are writing, the body of the text that you are putting down on paper should be a series of paragraphs that focus on one certain area or key point and link from one to the next. Different sections of your essay or report should also link to one another, and it should flow logically, extending your argument to whichever avenue you have chosen to go down. Your conclusion should rap up all the information the reader has seen and should evaluate where they could go to from here, a question, or a twist in logic thinking surmised by the paper.
Step 5 – Proofing and Style correction
All essays are to be written and cited following a set structure, which will be established by your college or university. There are a few different styles that are used in academia: APA, MLA, Chicago and Harvard. They all have different elements that need to be taken into account when checking over your paper and ensuring the correct style is used. Many times papers have been known to be rejected or failed because they have not referenced and styled their paper to submission guidelines – this can be really frustrating to you given that you have put so much effort into the perfect essay.
You should make sure that your spelling and grammar is correct too, and be positive that it follows from start to finish. You could also have a professional ensure that you have written the perfect piece and an impressive essay by having them proofread your paper.

Mead Making of a seventeenth century recipe
One of the great things about Mead is to make the whole tradition of it. Mead has done for centuries, and quite possibly the millennium. You can easily find and follow these recipes with a change only slightly for modern times and tools.
I chose a recipe that comes from a book called "From the Closet of Sir Kenelm Digby Knight Opened." This is a collection of recipes for a variety of fields and metheglins. This recipe is one of the easiest to do. To review the book and see more of the recipes of the entire book is available free from the Gutenberg Project is website.Here Sir Digby recipe that explains:
To make excellent MEAD
"For every liter of honey, take a gallon of water. Put water in a clean kettle on fire, and a stick to take up the measure, how high the water comes, making a cut, where the surfaces touch the stick. As soon as the water is hot, put in your honey, and let it simmer, skimming always, until it is very clean, put each gallon of water, a pound of the best Blew-raisin the sun, clean first collected from the stems, washed and clean. Let them stay in the boiling liquor until it is completely swollen and tender, then remove them and put them in a bag of hair, and pass the juice and the pulp and their contents in a press apothecaries, who put back into your liquor, and boiled until it is consumed only by the notch at first took to the measure of its waters. Then let your Liquor run through a hair sieve into a fat empty timber, which must remain longitudinally with the head of the upper output, and not let it remain until next day that the liquor be quite cold. Now here's my translation and explanation how to make this recipe for mead. I will cling to its quantity, which will give us approximately 1 gallon of Mead. You can translate this if you want to make a 5-gallon batch.
Put a gallon of water in a pot and heat it. Check the side of the pot in the water level. Add 1 quart of water and honey to very gently bring to a boil. Skim not everything that rises to the surface. Put 1 pound white raisins in a nylon bag of effort (or a double gauze bag) and drop into the water. When they are swollen and tender remove them from the boiling water and press all the juices from them. Add all these juices boiling in the mead. Continue boiling the lot up to the mark you made in the pan. This is the level of four quarters. Once this is done to cool the liquid and strain into a fermentation vessel for six weeks. After fermentation of this must be nearly complete and can be transferred to a cylinder or bottle in place to keep it for nine months before drinking.
Now, I Here are some suggestions that I have to go from the exact recipe, which is an update to modern times without losing the old flavor.
First off, Digby says nothing about the yeast! If you are a manufacturer of mead may be asking how are we going to ferment without yeast. Well, in those days that just took advantage of natural yeast bacteria that were in the air and utensils but we do not recommend that you do. We live in a world much cleaner and we want to exercise more control over our Mead, so I suggest that a release from the yeast in the batch once it has cooled. Almost any work, including yeast Lalvin D-47 or even the Fleischmann yeast bread. (Just follow the instructions that come with pitching the yeast.)
Second, using blue raisins, which are a little hard to get so recommend that you change to run some more of the factory, readily available and raisins. Raisins have an effect on the taste, but more important is that they act as nutrients, so other types of raisins can be used quite successfully.
Finally, on the whole boiling thing. You can do this successfully all counter any boiling or heating at all. Personally I think your mead will be just as good. The reason boils Digby is because he has to. He earned his well water and honey was undoubtedly largely contaminated with all sorts of things. Its boiling point of the materials to disinfect and clean all that can compete with yeast it is desirable to grow. Their needs are considerably reduced disinfection If you're throwing a real yeast in beer and was going to be based honey extremely clean and the water by its rules.
If you read the book Digby see that he said that Mead be a good remedy for consumption and other ailments.
